SofSurfaces duraSOUND Rubber Acoustic Flooring Tile, Interlocking Rubber Tile with Up to 38 dB of Sound Reduction
The SofSurfaces duraSOUND Rubber Acoustic Flooring Tile delivers commercial-grade sound and shock insulation for high-impact fitness spaces. Made from 100 percent recycled rubber and locked together with the patented KROSLOCK® tile-locking system, duraSOUND is built for cardio studios, free-weight and dumbbell areas, personal training zones, and spinning studios where dropped weights and heavy foot traffic threaten to travel through a facility's floors and walls. Engineered with a raised pedestal base that evenly distributes impact across the tile, duraSOUND reduces structure-borne sound and vibration transmission by up to 38 decibels (dB), helping facility operators keep noise contained and neighboring tenants satisfied.
Each tile is manufactured on an engineered, shock-absorbing pedestal base — 64 pedestals per tile in the Plus Series — that raises the tile off the subfloor for superior sound and vibration absorption. The omni-directional KROSLOCK® locking mechanism connects tiles firmly in place without adhesive, so the installed floor stays non-shifting and non-separating under heavy use. The wear layer is engineered to be fire resistant and slip resistant, and has been tested for more than 400,000 repeated impacts at 800 lbs of blunt force. duraSOUND is available in thicknesses of 2.00 in, 2.75 in and 3.25 in (51–83 mm), in Plus Series solid colors or Premium Series EPDM color blends, and is FloorScore® certified for indoor air quality.
